Dr. Evans is Professor and Director of the Institute for Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) at Georgia State University. She is author of several books including, Black Women in the Ivory Tower, 1850-1954: An Intellectual History (2007) and Black Passports: Travel Memoirs as a Tool for Youth Empowerment (2014), as well as three co-edited books by SUNY Press, Black Women's Public Health: Regenerative History, Practice, and Planning (forthcoming), Black Women's Mental Health: Balancing Strength and Vulnerability (2017), and African Americans and Community Engagement in Higher Education (2009). Dr. Domingue is a 14-year veteran in the field of Student Affairs and Social Justice 3 Education. She currently holds the position of Assistant Dean of Students for Diversity and Inclusion at Davidson College . Prior to 5 this role, she held held several positions at institutions in the Northeast. She also taught and worked as consultant on leadership, social justice education, intergroup 6 dialogue, and anti-racism initiatives in both academia and in the nonprofit world. Dr. Mitchell is Associate Professor of Higher Education in the Department of 17 Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development at University of Minnesota’s College of 18 Education and Human Development. Her teaching and research focuses on service learning as a 19 critical pedagogy to explore civic identity, social justice, student learning and development, race 20 and racism, and community practice. She is the former Associate Director of Stanford University’s Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, and has taught at Mills 1 College, California State University-Monterey Bay, and University of Massachusetts-Amherst. 2 She is editor of three volumes: Civic Engagement and Community Service at Research 3 Universities: Engaging Undergraduates for Social Justice, Social Change, and Responsible 4 Citizenship, Cambridge Handbook of Service Learning and Community Engagement, and 5 Educating for Citizenship and Social Justice: Practices for Community Engagement at Research 6 Universities.
